Happy Friday everyone! Get out there and make IT happen this weekend. Hopefully you got a good ride to make it happen, too!
This photo was a panorama that I made from 3 handheld photos using my 50mm prime on my NEX-7. The cars were so close that I couldn’t really get framing I wanted with just one car, so I decided to include both of them!
It’s hard to believe but in another month I’ll probably see some ACTUAL mustangs, you know, the kind that have four hoofs instead of wheels? Westward ho!
For now, I have Ford Mustangs coming out of hibernation in Chicago. It was a LONG and HARD winter and I’m sure all the car enthusiasts want to show what they got! I don’t mind taking their pictures, either.
This Mustang was on display in Palatine, IL at a SONIC fast food drive in. It was so bright out that I had to use a neutral density filter! That allowed me to preserve what bokeh I liked here. There are so many interesting lines and colors cars have. Their designers really knew how to catch the eye!
The Camaro Super Sport is still sitting on US Rt 14 in Arlington Heights, IL with a for sale sign on it. It certainly looks like their owners like the vehicle and take care of it but now are selling it.
This night I was trying out my new 50mm prime f1.8 lens and I thought that this was as good a chance as any to test it out. It was nice to have the flexibility to go all the way down to f1.8 but it only looked right at f5.6. But that meant that the exposure had to climb up to 25 seconds! Either way, it’s a great looking car with lots of character. Highest bidder? 🙂
This Camaro is for sale and you can find it on US Rt 14 in Arlington Heights, IL.
I’m sure the owner won’t mind a little bit more exposure on my little photo blog!
Anyways, I’m not much of a gear head but I can really appreciate a good looking vehicle! Now that the weather is warming up there will be more and more car shows in the Chicago Area. It might be fun to capture a few of them.
